We were dining by the intercoastal waterway and saw this pelican on a post. Its beak was cut, I nicknamed it Cut Throat, and it looked like it had made it through some tough times, it looked like it was laughing at the world that it had made it through it all. I named this one, "Laughing Pelican."  Also, the same pelican posed as if it was dancing through life, this was the first series of paintings of the same pelican.  I thought these paintings would make a great reversible bucket hat.
