When I painted this original oil painting of a sea turtle underwater, I tried to imagine what the turtle saw around it in the underwater world. There are bubbles, shadowing, reflection, and all kinds of colors in its path. The turtle shell is also full of color, it cannot be painted in an particular pallet. And the facial expression was painted as a turtle ready for adventure seeking out the next water wonderland to see.
